Herbs for use in Childbirth

An important part in my series on natural childbirth is of course the actual birth. Perhaps it’s prudent to start by defining natural childbirth. To me, natural excludes any substance that will pass through the placenta and affect the baby or inhibit your experience of actually vaginally giving birth.

Teething Trauma

A few weeks, or months ago, I wrote that Kyra was starting to teethe.  At the time I, stupidly, naively, thought people were right to groan when it came to teething. It really is a miserable time. Look at Kyra. She wasn‘t eating well or sleeping well.  Phew. Was that a false reality. On a scale of 1 to 10 of horrible times, I thought it was a 7. In light of the last few days, I’m regrading then down to a three!

I know everyone has them. Those days where you just feel like nothing youre doing is right. When you suspect, in the back of your frazzled mind, that you might be ruining your poor, sweet, crying child, for ever.

Watching my little girl throwing up clear slime, hearing her cough, listening to her raspy breathing and feeling completely helpless to fix what’s wrong, as I don’t really know what’s wrong. Unfortunately I have a rather iffy relationship with my GP and unless I really can’t do anything to improve the situation, would rather not go there.
