Welcome to the Natural Parents Network Holiday Gift Guide!

This giveaway is part of the Natural Parents Network Holiday Gift Guide. Natural Parents Network, Diary of a First Child, and more than 20 other natural parenting bloggers are giving away 70+ items perfect for gifting for the holidays.

Have you finished your holiday shopping? The NPN Holiday Gift Guide is a great opportunity to complete your gift-giving purchases for family and friends, while supporting many naturally-minded small businesses. The companies who have provided items for giveaway are almost exclusively made up of small and/or work at home families.

The Rafflecopter entry system will be live on this post (and at every post/site taking part in the Gift Guide) on Thursday, November 1, 2012. Until then, please visit some of the other review posts and read about the fabulous companies offering giveaways in the Natural Parents Network Holiday Gift Guide. Scroll to the bottom to see a full list of reviews and when they will be published.

Please continue reading to learn more about Hybrid Rasta Mama’s Jennifer Saleem, which is offering our readers a giveaway of one of three copies of the eBook: Coconut Oil for the Skin, a value of $6.95 each.

Hybrid Rasta Mama is a blogger, a semi-crunchy parent and a Natural Parents Network Volunteer. She blogs about real food, concious parenting and is our in-house coconut oil go-to girl.

What started as a blog post about 80 uses for coconut oil, hit the health and wellness scene like a wave, and the post was copied, reprinted, shared and referred to all over the web-o-sphere. After it’s immense success, Jennifer listened to reader comments and researched and tested far and wide, until she eventually posted 160 uses for coconut oil. This was once again so well received that she set about working on another post – her most recent in the series – 333 uses for coconut oil.

In addition to this, she also self-published an eBook: Coconut Oil for your Skin, which I have been reviewing.

Have you ever bought a recipe book because the food looked so good, you just had to try it? Then you got it home and started looking through it to see what you should have for dinner, when you realised that you didn’t recognise half the ingredients in it? Or that it required the best of the best of everything, and you’ll probably never afford most of the ingredients, even if you knew what they were or where to get them?  Well, this recipe book isn’t like that.

Jennifer uses simple ingredients, as few of them as possible, in fact, largely affordable (coconut oil in itself isn’t cheap, but essential oils, for example, generally are) and easy to find in most health food shops, or online. The recipes are simply constructed and really easy to follow. You don’t need any specialist cookware, and most of us will be able to whip these up in our kitchens.

My favourite things about these recipes are that they are practical and you can make them in amounts that are easy to use, try out, and get on with.

For  people who are trying to move away from chemical cleaners, chemical make-up and toothpaste and so on, this is a perfect book to start you on the road to healthy living, where living implies more than just eating. For those who have been walking that road for a while, this book will provide you with plenty more ideas… and if you’re looking for recipes for home made Christmas gifts, with suggestions for body, face, hair, skin, teeth and more, all you’ll need to add is ribbon and a card.

Personally, I’m loving including coconut oil into my beauty routines, and look forward to sharing some of my prize finds with you in the months to come.

BUY IT!

You can purchase your own eBook at Hybrid Rasta Mama for $6.95, and it will be delivered to your inbox.

Jennifer’s next book, Cooking With Coconut, is due out soon, and I can’t wait for it!
